Brief Description: Install caterpillar grommet in subpanel
Finally! After month of not finding time to work on the project, I'm back! I started out by enlarging the cutouts in the panel (Image 1) to both reduce some extra-tight fit after the test from last time and also to allow me to install caterpillar grommet in the cutouts so the subpanel wont cut into the avionics rack or wiring, After marking the extra cutout, I used a cutting burr in a drill press for the corners and a shears to connect the straight lines. Then I deburred and installed the grommet. Now I'm ready to rivet the subpanel together. I finished the evening by installing the racks for the Vertical Power units on the firewall (Image 3).
