Having previously fitted the cast pads to the rudder pedals, I sent them to Phil Cobbin to mill out the screw recesses to fit #8 screws (they were slightly undersized). Then I sent them to Iron Horse Coatings to be powder-coated. I chose a textured, two-tone, slightly beige/gray coating to help hide dirt (after all, I won't be flying in scrubs). They came out very nice. Today, the first time I've had to work on the plane in a week thanks to a bathroom remodel, it only took an hour or so to bolt the pads in place. This completes the brake system except for filling the fluid and painting some wing-walk material on the 'R' and 'V' of these pads.
