Brief Description:  Mated the forward and center sections

Another late start today as I returned yesterday's favor to Phil by helping him rivet the oil cooler shroud to his firewall. He's using the big cooler in his RV-7, which required a dive under the panel. After that, Jack showed up and helped me rivet the double lines mating the bottom skins. We saw the part where there were double flush rivets. However, I could not find a step to countersink the top of the spar flang. I did it anyway, because the gear mounts rest there. After that the riveting went well, as the second picture shows.

After we finished up, I moved on to my own oil cooler shroud (like Phil's). I match-drilled and dimpled, and then riveted the shroud together and then to the firewall. Finally I assembled the side plates and bulkhead with clecoes in preparation for continuing tomorrow.

Rivet count: 180 Total: 9351 - Plus 549 done at Van's
