Brief Description:  riveting bottom tailcone skin, dimpling

My buddy, Myron James, who was a major assist on the RV-6A, dropped by to help me rivet the bottom skin on. I'm going a bit out of order here so I can plan the install of the various systems before I put on the side skins. After the bottom skin was riveted on, we began prepping for the left side skin. I was dimpling the skin (yes, I leave the blue plastic on so I don't scratch the skin; the riveted skin sits just fine and I take care to remove all the platic 'washers' caused by the dimpling).

Myron moved on to deburring the left longeron and countersinking for the rivet holes. After lunch, I finished dimpling the skin (that's a lot of pounding) and the stringers. The last photo shows the stringers (well, one was still being dimpled) in place and the air conditioning ducts in place, along with the oxygen bottle in an possible location. It will probably end up on the other side because I think the TruTrak pitch servo will be too close to it for comfort, so I will end up putting the solenoids on the right side of the battery mount. More planning to follow as I build...
