Brief Description:  Begin riveting right elevator

Countersunk the trailing edge wedge. Began riveting by assembling the tip ribs and then the counterweight skin. Next came the rod attachment doublers and K1000-6 to the spar. Then I attached the root rib and riveted on the control horn.

Continuing, I riveted the nut plates to the trim access doubler plates and back riveted the right plate to the right bottom skin. After that, I started to rivet the bottom ribs but ran into difficulty because the inner flange on the rib interferes with the back rivet set, as does the forward flange. As a result, I dented the skin and have orfered a replacement (probably not structural but out of standard for my polishing attempt). In the meantime, I will drill off the rib and access doubler (those rivets are not included in the count below) and will begin on the left elevator while I wait.

Rivet count: 113 Total: 2347
