With the panel back in place, it's time to connect things up. The first thing I did was connect the grounds, to avoid a repeat of the last fiasco. The reworked panel has a new ground connector plus a lug. I drilled for the AN5 rivets for the new connector plate and riveted it in place, along with a platenut for the lug, then attached all the grounds. Next, after a bit of cable untangling, I made the connections for the VP-X boxes, except for the battery connections. Finally, I re-pinned the left firewall plug. This took the most time because Aerotronics had protected all the pins individually with heat shrink tubing, which had to be cut away before I could reinsert the pins into the CPC. Once that was done, I had to refer to my diagram to get the pins in the right locations and then reassemble the shell. So much more wiring to do!
