Brief Description:  Fit empennage fairing

I had to bob the nose of the fairing to move it back far enough to fit reasonably tight to the horizontal stab. Cutting a section out where it met the rudder did the trick. You can see the beginning of the fitting, with some pillowing at the front and the bobbed section loosely in place. Once the fairing was fitted and drilled, there was very little pillowing anywhere else except the right rear. I marked the locations on the tailcone and horizontal stab and also the trimming locations on the fairing. With it removed, I trimmed the fairing and then used packing tape on the metal surfaces to prevent epoxy from sticking. I mixed up some flox and also made a small layup of glass to go behind the bobbed part. I smeared the flox on the marked areas and the layup was positioned on the vertical stabilizer. Then I attached the fairing with clecos and cleaned up the flox that oozed out. I plastered some flox on the layup and then put the piece formerly cut out into place, fairing in the gaps and edges with some more flox. When it has set, I will re-trim the edges and file down the fairing over the flox to a uniform thickness, also smoothing out the repaired bob cut. Then I will finish attaching the fairing. I also trimmed and installed the left horizontal stabilizer tip.
