Brief Description: Glue overhead console to cabin top
Ok, time for the big, irreversible step. I cleaned up the cabin top, and rough sanded the join areas for the overhead console, then cleaned with a vacuum and finally left-over click-bond wipes. In Image 2 you can see that I supported the console with boxes at either end, which let me thread the wiring through but still gave me access under the joining areas. I mixed up a large amount of epoxy and added flocking cotton to make a paste, which I applied to the cabin top. Then I lowered the overhead in place and clecoed it. Finally, I went around the edges, cleaning up excess ooze and filling in voids. I also took the opportunity to fill in the extra holes in the cabin top from fitting the sun shades. Later I will apply glass tape around the edges to finish it off.
