Brief Description:  Copilot door strut and pilot door latch

I dropped by Home Depot and picked up a piece of 3/16" x 3/4" bar stock and fabricated the strut attach jig from it. I also cut the bushing from 5/16" tube, though two of the bushings were 3/8" instead of 9/16" to fit the Plane Around attachment. Following the directions, I assembled the jig to the brackets and used it to locate the door attachment brackets for drilling. After drilling and clecoing, I test fit the strut and checked the operation of the door - perfect! I won't rivet the brackets to the door until after the interior is finished, at least on the door. I had a slight problem with the latch when one of the pins came out - I really want to get this finished to the point I can safety wire them in. Anyway, on to the pilot sde door ... nothing new here. I carved the holes for the racks, trimmed the pin blocks and installed them, and then used set screws to mark the location in the door frame for the pin holes and guides. I need to trim the guides a bit more and cut the pins to length for the machined pin ends to finish the installation. Finally I will add the strut for this side and then the doors and cabin top can come off for work off the airframe.
