Brief Description:  Misc control stuff

Before I could finalize the control sticks, I had to finish installing the pitch pushrods. I connected the middle pushrod to the bellcrank at the battery mount (the aft pushrod had been installed much earlier and set according to the procedures in the tailcone manual) and then cut a gauge according to the steps in section 39. Using the gauge, I adjusted the forward two pushrods until they were correct and then measured the control stick clearance with the grips loosely in place before removing the sticks to cut them. After reassembling the sticks, I again checked the clearance - Image 2 - which shows that the sticks will not touch the panel before hitting the elevator stops. They still hit the sides of the fuselage but the wings and ailerons are not installed, so I think the stops will limit that travel.

Then, before I can finalize wire runs, I need to be sure that the quadrant would not be interfered with, so I temporarily clecoed/clamped it in place, cleaning up the loose wire runs and centering it roughly. I will measure carefully to center the aft portion (at the panel; the subpanel is already drilled) before drilling and adding attach hardware.
