Brief Description:  Antenna cabling

An enjoyable day; I like making up RG 400 connections. I started by locating the splitter for the cat whisker antenna and installing nutplates to hold in in place. If you noticed I didn't do a rivet count the other day for 2 rivet, I'll include them in today's count. Then I made cable routings for the run from the tail and also for the two COMM runs. For each run, I made the connector at the antenna end and then ran the cable forward before cutting it to length and making the connector for the other end. Each cable was tested for isolation between the shield and center conductor and continuity from end to end. After running the cables forward, I made up the cables from the splitter to the Garmin units. I'm going to add a page on my website about making up RG 400 cables but my photos today did not turn out well. That's Ok, I still have two more to make up - transponder and marker beacon.

Rivet count: 6 Total: 15796 - Plus 549 done at Van's
