Brief Description: Finish Ground Power Receptacle Mount
Today I finished the mounting of the ground power receptacle. With the mount basically done, I marked and drilled the rivet locations to the fuselage rib and bulkhead. Then I drilled and clecoed the mount in place. Next I removed the mount and added the receptacle and made the ground strap, drilling it for an AN4 bolt to connect it to the mount. Then I disassembled everything, deburred, and primed the angle parts. It may be difficult to see in the first picture, but the bolt hole in the angle has been masked with washers to leave a bare metal contact area for the ground strap bolt. I also cleaned the primer out of the rivet holes. Next I riveted the mount together and bolted in the receptacle and ground strap. I used a multimeter to check that only the ground pin had connection to the mount. Then I riveted the mount to the fuselage and again checked that only the ground pin had continuity to the fuselage.
