Brief Description:  Assemble main wheels, other stuff

I started out by finishing the match drilling for the fuselage join. I didn't really feel like countersinking for some reason so I moved on to some fuselage tasks I had skipped. I clecoed in the decks around the doors; I'll get to their riveting next time I drag out the rivet gun. I also ground out the left step opening in the skin and trial fitted the step, because I have been considering some options there. Dang near burnt up the dremel doing it and I needed to recharge before I can complete the right side. Anyway, the options under consideration are insertion of a plug to beef up the thin wall tube where the bolt will be compressing it, and creating a drilling jig rather than just poking a drill through as the instructions suggest. I've got Phil working on the jig and I intend to make access plates so I don't have to drill through the bottom of the fuselage to access the nut. I'm thinking a delrin or similar plug pressed into the tube down to the bolt area will help strengthen that up nicely.

Then I finished the day with a nice, leisurely assembly of the main wheels. It didn't take long and they're both aired up and ready to go as soon as I get the reamers to install the hardware on the gear legs. I'm going to write up wheel assembly on my website.
