Brief Description:  Fabricated Andair fuel valve mount

The first picture shows the problem. The stock mount, pre-punched for the Van's valve, has lightening holes where two of the mounting screws should go and the third is off the mount entirely. Rather than fabricate a whole new mount and drill out the stock one, I created a mounting plate and matched it to the stock mount and then drilled #30 in six places to hold it in place - mostly to keep it from turning with the valve. Since the plate and the valve sandwich the original mount, the three screws will be enough additional security to keep everything in place in service. Once I had the valve in place I could 'clock' the left and right fittings, tighten the screws, and stagg the screw heads per the Andair instructions. I'm not screwing it in place yet because the extension still has to be fitted and then drilled through the socket for a roll pin, meaning the valve will have to come out as I can't drill it in the tunnel.
