Attached the HS to the worktable according to the instructions and installed the rod end bearings into the elevators. Installed the left elevator and measured the travel. I had to remove a little material at the bottom spar web to get full elevator down. I then filed the drill bushing while it was in a drill press until it would fit the center bushing and then drilled the left elevator horn. Next I fitted the right elevator (it got full travel without adjustment), and drilled it's horn. With both elevators installed and taped in trail position, I marked the aft-most horn for the pushrod bearing hole and drilled it and a block of wood as a drill guide. I then drilled the other horn using the guide I had made. I inserted a bolt through the horns and tested the travel of the combined elevators, to make sure I had not created an interference. Not to worry, everything was fine. Covered the parts with bubble wrap to await the next session.
