Brief Description: Building stucture for fuselage sides
Spent the day bending longerons. The short ones were pretty easy so it was a surprise that the long ones were harder; I thought the extra leverage would help. I got all the longerons bent and I twisted them per the instructions. Then I drilled them to the template. Next I fabricated the seat back bulkhead parts and assembled the longerons with them to the fuselage. The longest chore was trimming the F-10102 A & B parts to 3/8"; I roughed them out with a hacksaw and then used the vixen file to take them down to exact width before smoothing them and deburring the edges.
I skipped the skin bending steps because I couldn't find hardwood in the size called for so I am laminating a piece and then I will have to find a table saw to finish it. Oh, and I found I had riveted the brackets on the firewall to the inside of the vertical stringers when they should have been on the outside, so I had to drill them out and reverse them. Funny that I didn't catch that on the plans but I'm sure it will show up in the older pictures and this is where they will suddenly be right.
