Additional adjustment of the canopy latches was made, until the canopy could be closed and latched from the outside. It was noted that the canopy had moved relative to the forward skin and so careful adjustment was made using a 5# sledge until the canpy rested on the fueslage railes and the front of the canopy deck was more in line with the subpanel bulkhead.
There was still some misalignment with the front skin, so shims were inserted as the skin was clecoed on, until the skin and canopy deck were reasonably close. These shims altered the alignment of the skin progressively so that the line of holes along the longeron on the right was extrememly difficult to cleco; consideration is being given to drilling those holes for AN426-4 rivets both to handle the extra stress and realign the holes.
