Brief Description:  Rear canopy install

Prepped canopy shell and rollover bar for assembly with Sikaflex. Masked canopy, used scotchbrite to rough up adhesion area and cleaned with Sika cleaner. Rollover bar was already sanded, so simply used cleaner. Then painted both areas with Sika prep. After 30 minutes drying time (Sika recommended), applied layer of Sikaflex to rollover bar and lowered canopy. With help from Judith, the top skin was clecoed to the aircraft and canopy to hold it in the proper location. There was a slight but workable misalignment on the right side that appears to be due to the canopy frame moving because the forward skin is not in place. After two hours for initial set, Judith unclecoed the left side of the top skin to allow me to exit the plane aft of the baggage compartment. Then the skin was reclecoed down to allow the Sikaflex to finish bonding.

During the time I waited for the Sika prep to dry, I worked more on the baffle fabrication; drilling the oil cooler doubler to the left rear baffle and marking where the baffle needs to be opened up for the cooler.
