Brief Description: NAV troubleshooting, fuel sender wiring
Performed extensive check of antenna cables, found several bad connectors due to poor control of stripping of center conductor. Too much exposed conductor was leaving exposed conductor at base of crimped pin. Pin, instead of seating, spread the conductor, allowing it to short in connector body. Replaced bad connectors; NAV radio ops checks Ok. Did similar testing on other coax runs to eliminate potential problems.
Opened left wing root, fabricated wire for fuel sender, installed in root and routed into fuselage. Remaining routing pending. Fabricated wire for right fuel sender but did not install.
