Brief Description: Trim baffling, cowl fit adjustment
Trimmed baffling to fit under cowling. Vacuumed up all the filings and pieces. Saftied the engine to mount bolts and spinner bolts. Attempted to make tension rods for baffling but the attempts to thread the rod ends resulted in breaking the rod in my die. Instead, I will use threaded 6-32 rod and will add inspection to my maintenance checklist. While the cowling was off, I sanded the faceplate to achieve spinner clearance. After the sanding, I put the cowling back on the aircraft and checked that the clearance was sufficient. I then painted the inside of the lower cowl with thinned epoxy and filled a void in the sanded area with epoxy and flox.
