Drilled the exhaust pipes at 1.5" below the mounting flange for the installation of the EGT probes. Probe on #2 was angled back both for better cowling clearance and to make a shorter run to support. The remaining probes were mounted straight out from the engine. The probe wires were clamped to rocker covers and baffling to begin the run to the Engine Pod.
Drilled out the fastener strips between the two cowling halves and prepped and primed them. Installed them with their fasteners and also the nutplates near the spinner. Drilled out the upper cowling for the metal grommets and installed those with snap rings. While the cowlings were off, removed the pins from the firewall perimeter fastener bodies and locked them into position. Put the cowling back onto the fuselage and inserted the male fasteners into the grommets, then tightened them down to adjust the depth. It took a couple of iterations to get all the bodies to lock. Then removed the cowling and pulled the pins on the newly installed fasteners and locked them into final depth.
