I learned a lot on how to use some of my tools with this kit.
I had put the sides on using my 3x rivet gun and tungsten bucking bar. My friend Brian, who built an RV10, inspected my riveting and said they looked pretty good for a first try. He then showed me how to use my pneumatic squeezer. It was love at first rivet. So much easier to set perfect rivets.
I also tried my hand at using the hand rivet squeezer and came to the conclusion that using it for anything more than dimpling or the odd rivet is for the birds. :-D
The DRDT-2 is awesome for dimpling coupled with the pneumatic squeezer for riveting. Still good to practice with the 3x and I love back riveting with it. Burrrrrrp Burrrrrp Burrrrrrrp... quite fun.
Now time to tackle the practice airfoil project, :-D
