Brief Description:  Shop upgrades, elvator repairs, rudder repairs

Back at it. The VW is gone. Left on Saturday. So, tonight we shifted the project to the larger garage bay. It is an additional 12 ft. longer and 1-2 ft wider than the other bay. Added a new shop light above the new bay. Wired both shop lights and the incadecents to a single wall switch which is much more convenient. Added a 6 outlet strip to the switched circuit so expansion is very easy now. Aaron picked up a drawing table at auction cheap, so we now have that on a wheeled dolly at the end of the building table. Drawings no longer clutter the build area. Had 4 orders to our favorite suppliers. All came in. That includes the #10 dimple die for the lead counterbalance weight in the rudder. We machined it last time and ruined the rib. New rib arrived from Vans's. Prepped, drilled, and dimpled said rib. Ready to prime, but upon looking outside, we noticed heavy rain. :(Stiffener for right elevator also arrived. New one is cut, shaped, drilled, and dimpled. Ready to prime. Worked on the wood forming blocks for bending the elevator trim tab ends. That is not going well. Calling John to get some advice before we take our rivet gun to that skin. Wings arrive April 4th. We are almost ready for them.On a side note, I parked the truck in the garage for the first time in a year! Very nice.
