Dave helped load the wings the night before. Took the casters off the bottom of the wing cradle and screwed to the trailer floor. Loaded the wings and tied down. Primary tie points were through the handle holds and the spar pin holes. Wood shims and spring clamps secured the flaperon and wings in the faired position. Stopped several times along the 80 mile trip to verify the tie downs were still secure with no shifting. Once at the destination, called future neighbor Phil and he came over to help Denise and I unload the wings and cradle from the trailer. Reinstalled the cradle casters, moved to the garage, and installed wings on the cradle. Happy to report that the aircraft and wings are resting peacefully at their new home.
A special thanks to Rolland for the use of his truck and trailer. This move would not have been possible without his usual generosity and longtime friendship.
