Brief Description:  Finish Tank Install (SB 13-12-19)

This entry covers multiple days.

Leak checked tank. Tank pressurized as follows:
- Installed unvented fuel cap.
- Tightened fuel neck collar to fuel neck flange.
- Installed hose and valve from fuel tank leak kit to fuel return fitting.
- Installed balloon on VA-210 fel flange and secured with electrical tape.
- Pressurized tank until balloon was inflated.
With tank pressurized, used soap/water solution and sprayed tank in all disturbed areas. The cap around the fuel vent fitting was leaking so tightened. Also found a small leak around hose at fuel return fitting. Added a clamp and pressurized tank again. Move tank inside the house for a more controlled temperature environment. The next day, the balloon was smaller than it should have been so checked everything again and found a small leak around valve-to-hose connection so added a clamp there as well. Pressurized tank again and balloon stayed inflated for the next 5 days. Consider tank leak free and ready to install.

Prepped the tank by scuffing with Scotch Brite pads, cleaned with Acetone, and primed with Stewart Systems Ekoprime.

Step 20
Installed tank and fuel sender wire in accordance with the KAI (see Section 37 entry on this date).

Step 21
Will make logbook entry prior to completion of PAP so consider this step complete.
