Page 49-09 Installed three sets of double clamps to engine mount ring. What a PITA! The upper right set of clamps was especially difficult because of lack of easy access. (step 1) Installed friction comb. (step 2) Pulled cable out of the sheath and trimmed end of cable sheath. Tried to reinstall the cable and but it was hanging up in the sheath at the lower right clamp area. Had Denise wiggle the sheath in that area and was able to get the cable reinstalled. Would have been much easier to do this task prior to installing the exhaust. (steps 3 and 4) PAGE 49-09 IS COMPLETE
Page 49-11 Did a bunch of deburring, dimpling, and countersinking on oil cooler frame, frame bottom, faceplate, and spacers. (steps 1 through 4) Riveted spacers to frame and then frame to faceplate. (steps 5 and 6) Added RTV and installed oil cooler into oil cooler box assembly. Installed and tightened hex nuts, then applied Loctite 243 on adapter threads and installed gasket rings and adapters into oil cooler. Covered adapter openings with painters tape. (steps 7 through 10) Added RTV to oil cooler frame bottom tabs, installed bottom on oil cooler, and riveted. Alignment of holes was a bit off so tapped oil cooler bottom enough to get rivets installed. Filed slots at bottom edge. (steps 11 through 13) PAGE 49-11 IS COMPLETE
Page 49-12 Trimmed cooling duct edges to scribe lines. (step 1) Aligned oil cooler in duct opening and clamped in place. Match drilled #12 both upper attach holes into duct. Removed oil cooler and riveted nutplates onto upper flange of oil cooler box assembly. Attached oil cooler box assembly to duct with two AN3 bolts. (steps 2 through 5) Pressed cowl guides in each lower slot and match drilled #12 into duct. Attached cowl guides to duct using specified hardware. Removed oil cooler box assembly. (steps 6 through 8) PAGE 49-12 IS COMPLETE
