Removed exhaust port plugs and stud nuts. (step 1)
Installed cylinder #1 and #2 exhaust tubes and started stud nuts. (steps 2 and 3)

Applied Loctite heavy duty anti-seize compound (Loctite LB8009) to ball joint receptacles of muffler. (step 1)
Attached muffler to exhaust pipes with springs. To keep from damaging springs, used a small rope and looped around spring hook and pulled into position. (step 2)
Tightened exhaust stud nuts to seat exhaust pipes in engine port, then moved muffler to settle pipes into least stress position. Center muffler under engine and torqued exhaust stud nuts to 130 inch-pounds. (steps 3 and 4)

Page 48-06
Installed bottom cowl and checked exhaust pipe. It fit OK and was about 1/4" from the forward left side of the opening. Removed bottom cowl and opening the hole some more and rechecked. At least 1/2" clearance is available. (step 1)

Page 48-07
Installed both EGT probes and tightened clamp. Routed probe wires per the KAI and connected spade connectors (cylinder #3 to EGT-R; cylinder #4 to EGT-L). Installed tie wraps to secure wires.
