Brief Description:  Complete SB 14-11-03 - LH Wing

All of the following steps complete only on the LH wing.

Already had parts on hand. With Denise's help, wing removed from cradle and placed upside down on padded tables. (steps 1 and 2)

Removed 20 wing flange rivets and single main rib rivet. (step 3)

No paint yet so steps 4 and 5 are NA.

Clecoed doubler to skin, match drilled #30 holes. Cut a piece of old instrument panel skin and used it under wing skin to protect spar cap. There were holes in the metal piece and might have accidentally aligned those holes with matched drilled holes so might have lightly tapped the spar cap a couple of times with the drill bit. Opened eight called out holes to 5/32" (plans called for #22 drill bit. 5/32" was slightly smaller than #22 but worked out fine - BSPQ-5-2 rivets fit fine). Removed clecoes, deburred holes, and chamfered edges of doubler. (steps 6 through 10)

Primed skin and mating side of doubler. Scuffed with Scotch Brite pad, cleaned with Acetone, and primed with Zinc Phosphate primer. (step 11)

Clecoed doubler in place and riveted doubler to skin, spar flange, and main rib. (step 12)

Wings will be installed as aircraft assembly progresses so step 13 is NA.

Logbook entry will be made documenting the incorporation of this Service Bulletin prior to initial condition inspection. For purposes of this Service Bulletin, this step is complete.

SERVICE BULLETIN 14-11-03 IS COMPLETE FOR LH WING. Still need to do RH wing.
