Brief Description:  Finish ELT Install

Received SD-42-BSLF rivets from Van's and glad I order extra ones. Trial fit the ELT with the tray mounted in the correct position and was so excited that it fit that I proceeded to rivet the tray in place - without the freakin' straps! Had to drill out rivets again and then installed tray AND straps correctly this time.

Tried to latch the ELT to the tray but it was very difficult to engage the BATTERY strap. The rivets for the ELT bracket were hitting the aft end of the ELT just enough to keep the ELT from fully seating. Was able to push it back enough to engage the straps but aft end of ELT body is tight against the rivets. Connections made as follows:
- Connected the DIN connectors and wrapped connection with electrical tape per ACK instructions.
- Connected telephone wire from ELT to audio alert.
- Connected audio alert cable (short cable that came with ELT) into other end of audio alert.
- Connected other end of audio alert cable into ES-00176 inline coupler.
- Connected aircraft telephone wire into other end of inline coupler.
- Connected antenna coax between ELT and antenna.
Tie-wrapped the whole mess to the ELT. Not the neatest installation that I have ever seen but is per the plans. (page 42F-04, steps 1 {remaining part} through4).
