Brief Description:  Sealed Up Fuel Tank (SB 13-12-19)

Applied sealant to flanges and re-installed tank top skin. Denise was a big help by dipping AD-41H rivets in sealant and installing/spinning in hole while I hand pulled them.

Installed the fuel return line and secured in place with newly fabricated clips. Reinstalled previously removed nutplates. Installed res sender plate and secured with screws. Used lock washers (one under res sender plate screw and one under fuel sending unit plate). (steps 17 through 19)

CRAP AGAIN!
I just repeated the same mistake that was made when the tank was initially built (see entry on 2-3-12)! After closing up the tank, I realized that I did not tighted the fuel return line B-nut. Off with the res sender plate, tighten the B-nut (with a generous slathering of tank sealant all over arm), back on with the res sender plate, and tighten screws.

Plan to let the tank sit for about a week to let the sealant fully sure before leak checking.
