Brief Description:  Complete Tank Vent Install

The last step in section 37B is to install the fuel vent line beginning on page 37-07 (reference error - should be page 37-08), step 4. The following referenced steps, starting at step 4, are from page 37-08.

Removed rivets, then riveted vent bracket to aft side of baggage bulkhead, then installed clamp. (steps 4 and 5)

Fabricated both aluminum vent lines, vent air lines/adapter, and assembled. Really struggled understanding the template on page 37-11 for the aft vent tube T-01219B. Eventually got something close enough. (steps 6 through 8)

Temporarily installed fuel tank and installed forward vent tube on bulkhead fitting and through baggage bulkhead snap bushing. (step 9)

Drilled holes in lower tailcone skin and installed blind rivet. Pilot holes already there since new skin (with pilot holes) was installed as part of mouse damage repair. (steps 10 and 11)

Installed vent line air line. Connected air line to blind rivet (after driving out mandrel), and secured in place with red RTV. (step 12)

Temporarily installed T-1219B aft fuel vent line. Original plan was to separate tube from tee after marking lowere end of tube for bevel but was unable to pull tube out of tee. Therefore, did not remove vent line to cut bevel. Marked 45 degree angle and cut tube, in place, with a dremel and cutoff disk. After filing, turned out fine. Installed snap bushing. (steps 13 through 16)
