Brief Description:  Finish Canopy Latch Switch Install (N 14-05-22)

Did not have enough exposed wire to cut a 5" piece for ground wire so used same gauge black wire from supply. (step 8)

Removed old latch block, countersunk and drilled new latch block, then installed. (steps 8 and 9)

Removed old latch plate, clecoed new latch plate, match drilled #43 hole, tapped switch mount hole, curved left side of arm, clecoed back into position, and verified that friction to latch canopy was fine. (steps 10 through 16). Scuffed latch plate with Scotch Brite pad, cleaned with Acetone, and primed with Stewart Systems Ekoprime.

Fabricated latch block, riveted to latch plate, then riveted latch plate to roll bar/splice plate. (steps 17 and 18)

Cut off roller from switch, mounted switch to latch plate, adjusted switch (verified by continuity between NO and COM terminals of switch), and tighted screws. (steps 19 and 20)

Crimped terminals on switch wires and attached spade connectors to switch. Drilled #19 hole in roll bar brace, used Acetone and rag to remove primer where ring terminal mounts, and secured with hardware. Tie wrapped wires with eyeball light wires. (steps 21 through 25)

The remaining steps of this notification requires software download and engine run. This will have to be done after first engine start so this Notification is complete until that time.

UPDATE (12/25/16)
Previously downloaded software and ran engine to verify that canopy latch warning system worked properly. (steps 26 through 28)
