Brief Description: Update Trim Servo & Install Stabilator
Page 11-03 Marked counterbalance arm and inserted into stabilator. Rotated 90 degrees then slide stabilator assembly forward then rotated back to marked position and secured with hardware. Installed stabilator and secured with bolts. Not as easy as it sounds. Spent a lot of time on the left side bolt because the glued washers fell off. Denise was a big help. Verified that stabilator has full travel and is limited only by the stops. PAGE 11-03 IS COMPLETE
Disassembled servo from old servo tray. Left everything else connected.
Page 11-06 Separated doublers from new servo tray. Scuffed with Scotch Brite pad, cleaned with Acetone and primed with zinc phosphate rattle can primer (matches orginal tray). Riveted doublers to servo tray. Drilled servo attach holes with #27 drill bit. Installed servo to tray using c-shaped doublers and reused hardware. (steps 1 through 4) Pivot hole and bushing in link was not touched so steps 5 and 6 are NA for this work session. Installed bushings in tray links and filed shoulders down close to doubler. (steps 7 and 8) PAGE 11-06 IS COMPLETE
Page 11-07 Routed servo wiring through bushing and crimped on Molex micro pins. Inserted pins into molex connector (with help from Denise on wire colors). Twisted wires and installed connector into servo tray. (steps 1 and 2) PAGE 11-07 IS COMPLETE
Page 11-08 Steps 1 through 8 were previously completed on 12/20/10 and were not changed or updated during this session. Installed servo tray assembly to the tail cone and secured with called out hardware. Permanently secured hardware with cotter pin. Connected the rod end bearing to the AST. (steps 9 and 10) PAGE 11-08 IS COMPLETE
Page 11-09 Crimped micro-pin sockets onto trim wires exiting tail cone. Inserted into connector to match wires in servo tray connector. Inserted tail cone connector to servo tray connector. (steps 1 through 3) PAGE 11-09 IS COMPLETE
