Brief Description:  Bottom Skin On - Tail Skin Off

Reinstalled tie wrap securing brake lines to center section bulkhead. Although not applicable to E-LSA, verified that brake lines and rudder cable routing in this area was correct in accordance with SB 14-01-17 (Rudder cables chafing misrouted brake lines).

Installed and clecoed RH baggage corner skin, fuselage corner skins, and fuselage corner cover plate. During installation, sprayed all mating surfaces of skins and ribs with corrosion inhibitor (ACF-50).

Treated all rib flange areas (seat, baggage, bulkheads, etc.) and bottom skin rivet lines with corrosion inhibitor (ACF-50). Installed and clecoed bottom skin into place. Everything lined up very well and was pleased that there was no apparent twisting of the fuselage frame. Left the aft end of the skin unclecoed to maintain access while removing/replacing tailcone bottom skins. Also clecoed into place the bottom stiffeners and triangular shaped doublers to the bottom of the center section.

Supported tailcone to overhead with a rope and cargo strap then drilled out a bazillion rivets securing the tailcone bottom skins to the frames and tailcone lower skins. Unhooked the F-1282-R bottom right skin from the frame cutouts and removed. Did the same with the F-1282-L bottom left skin. Had to remove rivets from the F-1281-L and -R lower skins at the frames so bottom skins would clear the frame cutouts. Also had to remove the baggage corner skins and fuselage corner covers again so that the rivets securing the shear clips could be removed. Will need to transfer the shear clips and doublers to the new skins.

Skin damage was more extensive than anticipated and also plenty of mouse material on the frame flanges. Just like the fuselage, glad the decision was made to remove and replace with new skins. A lot of work but really glad that I took this route. Confident that all of the damage/corrosion has been addressed.
