Brief Description:  Bottom Skin Panel Removed

Removed a ton of rivets and with help from Denise, removed the bottom skin. The forward edge hung up and it took awhile to figure out that it just needed to be muscled out. There is no perceptible movement of the structure and seems to be stable. Not sure if that's because of the added overhead fuselage supports or if the structure is stable on its own. Don't plan to remove the supports and find out.
Damage is extensive as expected. I feel vindicated in the decision to remove the bottom skin instead of trying to clean it from the top. As can be seen in the third photo, the mess made it between the skin and the rib flanges and would have been difficult/impossible to get it clean. Now I have easy access and will be able to treat all areas properly.
Next step is to assess what else needs to be done before starting to clean and treat areas in the fuselage.
