Brief Description:  Securing Fuselage Prior to Bottom Skin Removal

Finally decided that the best way to proceed is to remove and replace the bottom skin. Most of the mice damage is on the inside surface of the bottom skin. Plan is to remove the bottom skin, clean/sand all remaining damaged areas, prep with Alumiprep 33, treat with Alodine 1201, reprime with Stewart Systems Eckoprime, and install new bottom skin.
Before proceeding, had a number of emails to Van's asking if it was necessary to support the fuselage when removing the bottom skin. My concern is that the bottom skin carries part of the structural load and when removed, would cause the fuselage to bend/twist making it very difficult to get holes to align on new skin. Got a squishy answer from Van's so I think I am on my own.
Decided to support the three major structural elements of the fuselage (forward, center, and aft). The goal is to just support, not lift the fuselage. Forward fuselage supported at the steps, center fuselage supported via 2" PVC at the wing pin holes, and the aft fuselage support at the tail and with a strap/rope.
