Removed F-1240 upper fuselage panel. Match drilled back end of map box half to holes in instrument panel base. Made map box door and hinges. Got pretty close to the edge of the door hinge but pressing on. Match drilled map door hinge to lower map box half. Drilled 1/4" hole through map door, instrument panel, and upper map box flange. Enlarged hole in instrument panel and upper map box flange to 7/16". Noticed that hole enlarged past upper flange of map box - the camloc receptacle should act as a doubler so pressing on. Marked and drilled rivet holes in camloc receptacle to #40. Removed and deburred all parts. Machine countersunk #40 holes in F-1202U instrument panel. Countersunk all holes around map box opening - not just those meant for AN426AD3 rivets as specified in the instructions - need to have recessed rivets for camloc receptacle and CCR-264SS-3-2 so door closes all the way.
