Removed C-1205 latch block and went deeper on countersunk holes. Still not able to get to the right side hole with a countersink bit so manually countersunk with a Dremel bit. Re-installed and screw heads sat much better. Closed latch handle and flat plate sits in saddle of latch block. Much happier with results.
Fabricated C-1214 latch block, installed on latch hook, and secured with rivets. Chamfered edges so handle weld fillet cleared. (page 34-11, step 2). Page 34-11 is complete
