Brief Description: Canopy On!

Spent the day before applying Krylon Clear Gloss over the entire canopy frame and ensured fully dry before installing canopy.
Installed canopy on canopy frame and clecoed forward bow. While trying to install AN526C632R8 screw, screw would not easily go through holes in aft bow. Opened holes in aft bow and attach angles to #29. Installed screws on aft bow. Riveted skirts to canopy frame. Installed screws through skirts, canopy, and attach angles. Holes did not align as well as I expected so screwed screws into opening - hope it's not too tight and cause cracking down the road. Riveted canopy to front bow. Installed canopy assembly and checked skirt overhang. Left side looked good. The right side was hitting on the turtle deck skin. The F-1254-R support frame was bent while adjusting the canopy frame so the turtle deck skin does not lay flat Need to remove support frame and see if it can be straightened. If not, it will need to be replaced. (page 34-09, step 2 through 4).
Page 34-09 is complete.
Installed canopy latch, handle, and plastic washer. Latch was a bit loose so lightly squeezed lower tube which made the fit a little tighter. Applied Aeroshell #5 grease and installed canopy latch, handle, and plastic washer. Secured canopy handle with screw. Countersunk latch block, tapped holes, and final installed latch block to roll bar with screws. (page 34-10, steps 1 and 2).
Page 34-10 is complete.
Closed and latched canopy. Fit was pretty decent without too much friction but enough to feel like it will stay latched during flight. Did notice that the flat plate of the latch did'nt sit all the way down into the latch block. Looks like the screws that secured the latch block to the roll bar are not fully seated in the countersink. Had issues getting a countersink bit in place. Need to figure out a way to countersink a little deeper. (page 34-11, step 1).
