Brief Description: Drilled Canopy at Front and Aft Bows
Placed canopy back on canopy frame and used duct tape to hold sides of canopy down in place. Alternately drilled front bow and aft bow starting from middle and worked down to the outsides. Measured 1/8" overlap for canopy skirts and secured skirts in place with tape. Match drilled canopy skirts to canopy frame. Deburred holes, then dimpled forward 5 holes in each skirt. Curled forward end of each skirt to match contour of fuselage. Marked lower side edges of canopy for final trimming to 1/8" nominal clearance (see page 34-05, Sections A-A and B-B). Removed canopy. (page 34-06, steps 2 through 6).
