Brief Description: Installed Main Gear Axles & Nose Gear
Installed both main gear axles and brake plates and torqued bolts. Did not apply torque stripe due to temperatures generated during braking. Checked alignment of axles. RH axle looks fine but the LH axle has a slight toe in alignment. Ordered 1/2-degree shims from Van's to see if that corrects the toe in. Step 3 on page 32-03 says to order U-811A or U-811B from Accessories Catalog. No such number could be found but did find U-00013B for the RV-12 so ordered those. Installed 45-degree elbows to brake assembly using Loctite 567 thread sealant. (page 32-03, steps 3 and 4). Page 32-03 is complete.
Attached nose gear assembly and torqued AN3-4A bolts. (page 32-06, step 1).
