Brief Description:  Started Flight Control Installation

Installed male nylon tee into back of brake reservoir and sealed threads with Loctite 567. Installed brake lines from RH side to nylon tee. Routed brake lines behind wire harness and clamped to bottom of firewall. (page 32-02, steps 2 and 3).
Page 32-02 is complete.

Attached control stick pushrods to control sticks and flaperon mixer bellcranks. (page 32-05, steps 6 and 7).
Page 32-05 is complete.

Routed flaperon pushrod assemblies through bulkheads and connected to flaperon mixer bellcranks. Installed flaperon torque arms to bearing brackets at baggage bulkhead. Torque arms seemed very loose with a lot of movement around the bearing. Looks like this is normal based on other builder experiences but will verify with Van's. Connected aft end of flaperon pushrod assembies to torque arms. (page 32-06, steps 2 through 5).
Page 32-06 is complete.

Assembled flap fork assembly, flap detent assembly, and stop. Also, screwed detent to floor using spacers. (page 32-08, steps 4 and 5).
Page 32-08 is complete.

Routed rudder cables and plastic sleeves forward through bulkheads to rudder pedal horns. Secured plastic sleeves using clamps. Noticed during wiring section that the forward clamps were temporarily installed using a screw while this section calls out AN3-3A bolts. Used the bolts for final installation. After clamp nuts were torqued, noticed that step 2 says to extend the sleeves forward of the F-1203A bulkhead by 3/8" - installed flush with bulkhead so that needs to be corrected. (page 32-11, step 1).
