Section 31B looks like it assumes that the hole in the corner skin for the OAT probe is already drilled in the newer kits. There was no hole and no instructions to drill the hole. Went back to the older wiring Section 31 and found the instructions on page 31-08 (Rev 0). Using those instructions, drilled 3/8" hole for OAT probe. Installed OAT probe and routed wires aft of the baggage bulkhead. Secured OAT probe with nut. (page 31B-14 is complete).
Inserted wires for each headset wire harness into applicable Molex receptacle. Noticed that the pin markings on the connector are located differently than what's shown in figure 2. Figure 2 shows pin 1 in the upper right corner while the actual connector has pin 1 in the upper left corner. Pins were inserted into the correct pin number location but is not oriented with what's shown in figure 2. Wire colors from the harness and the ES-00147 headset jack modules match so I'm pretty certain that they are correct. Of course to complicate things further was my difficulty with colors, so Denise provided her expertise in making sure the right colors were inserted into the right places. Connected headset jack modules to Molex connectors for photo opp. Decided to install the optional auxiliary audio jack and ordered the ES RS 274-249 jack and 47k ohm resistors from Radio Shack. (page 31B-17, step 1 and 2).
