Installed flap handle pushrod, rod-end bearing, and jamnuts on flap handle. Adjusted rod to 11-25/32" and tightened jamnuts. (page 32-03, step 3.)

Installed flap handle knob on fork assembly. Knob would not go over the rod of the fork assembly so conservatively removed material from the outside diameter of the rod and inside diameter of the knob. Eventually got the knob to fit but had to tap it on with a hammer. Pushed VA-114 compression spring and fork assembly with knob inside flap handle. (page 32-07, step 12).
Page 32-07 is complete.
Inserted F-1266A flap detent bracket through slots in the flap handle and fork assembly. Using 0.025-inch scrap shims between floor and flap detent bracket, secured detent bracket with screws. Checked flushness of the VA-110 flap knob and forward edge of flap handle and knob was sticking out about 3/16". After removing fork assembly and knob (not easy), removed 3/16" from end of fork assembly tube. Re-installed knob on tube and installed fork assembly into flap handle. With flap in the "flaps up" detent, flange of the flap knob was flush with the edge of the flap handle. Removed fork assembly, drilled hole through flap knob and fork assembly tube, and secured with rivet. (page 32-08, steps 1, 2, 3, and part of 4).
