Brief Description:  Installed String Through Control Sticks

With lots of excellent help from Denise and Jesus (I'll explain later), relatively easily got the strings installed in each control stick to aid in pulling push-to-talk wiring through. Still waiting for finishing subkit #5-1 that's been on back order since November 2011 due to Skyview upgrade.
Technique used was to add a small lead weight on the end of fishing line and install from the bottom of the control stick. The first challenge was to clear the tube at the lower end and then make the 90-degree turn. It was difficult to keep the line straight and to push the line past the lower tube. While trying to figure out what to use to poke the weight past the tube, Denise pointed to the fireplace mantel where a Lladro statue of Jesus was with his staff. The staff worked perfectly in pushing the weight past the lower tube. Once the weight cleared the tube, used a vacuum at the top of the stick and sucked the weight and line through. The key was to the keep the fishing line from twisting by keeping it as straight as possible as it moves through the stick. Tied string at the lower end of the fishing line and pulled the string through the other end. Taped each end of string to the control stick so they're ready to go once the wiring arrives.
