Brief Description:  Completed T-1204A Top Tank Skin

Trial fit both floats (resistance gage sender float and Moeller mechanical float) to ensure both are clear of each other and the baffle. Alignment was as good as it could be and I'm happy with the results. Applied tank sealant and riveted mechanical gage doubler and K1000-08 nutplates to tank top skin. Used AN426AD3-4.5 rivets to secure nutplates. Since rivet hand squeezer would not fit, used a hammer to set rivets. Rivet manufactured head set on slab of marble to provide a solid surface to hammer against. Applied additional sealant around nutplates and doubler.

Installed T-1204B flange to tank top skin and secured with AD-41H blind rivets. Applied additional sealant around faying surfaces and shop heads of rivets. (page 35-05 rev 4, step 10).
