Brief Description:  Riveted Panel Base & Canopy Ribs

Filled tooling holes in upper firewall with fuel tank sealant. Applied a bead of fuel tank sealant around perimeter of firewall on the aft side. Page 29-03, step 6 was not clear which side of the firewall to apply sealant so sent an email to Van's. Kind of got a wishy washy answer and had to re-ask the question before getting the answer that the aft side is fine. I also asked about firewall sealant called out in step 6 vs. fuel tank sealant which is what I had. I was told that there's a definite difference but that the fuel tank sealant was fine for this step. A lot of discussion on this topic with all sorts of opinions. I've got the email from Van's that fuel tank sealant is fine so that's what I'm going with. (page 29-03, step 6).
Page 29-03 is complete

Riveted panel base assembly to upper firewall and F-1255-L & -R longerons. Riveted canopy ribs to panel base assembly and upper firewall. (page 29-04, step 12).

Riveted F-1201F battery mount brace, F-1201Q-L & -R battery mount angles, and F-1201G oil tank brace to oil tank side braces. (page 29-05, step 3).

Still need to apply sealant to canopy ribs (page 29-04, step 13) and rivet heads on firewall (page 29-05, step 4) but didn't feel like cracking open another tube of sealant tonight. Task for another day.
