Brief Description: Match Drilled Panel Base to Longerons
Planned to dimple the aft flange and web of the panel base per page 29-04, step 7 but noticed that rivet holes were already dimpled. Plans probably not updated to latest hardware configuration.
Clecoed panel base to upper firewall and match drilled panel base to longerons. Actually pretty pleased with how well the panel base lined up with the longerons. Match drilled panel base to longerons. Removed panel base and deburred holes. Clecoed canopy ribs and strut attach angles to panel base and match drilled. Removed and deburred parts. Also final drilled rivet holes in both engine mount brackets. (page 29-04, steps 8, 9, and partial 10).
Dimpled three holes in each F-1201E-L & -R oil tank side braces and machine countersunk corresponding holes in battery mount angles. (page 29-05, step 1).
