Brief Description: Riveted Upper Firewall to Fuselage Assembly
Scuffed upper forward fuselage doubler and antenna shelf with Scotch Brite pad, cleaned with Acetone, and primed.
Riveted upper forward fuselage doubler and nutplates to upper firewall. Riveted F-1201J and F1201K cowl hinges to fuselage doubler. Dimpled then riveted nutplates to forward and aft side of upper firewall. Installed nutplates to antenna shelf and riveted shelf to upper firewall. Dimpled rivet holes in bottom flange of upper firewall. (page 29-02, steps 4 through 9). Page 29-02 is complete.
Smeared fuel tank sealant to upper surface of bottom flange of firewall, installed to fuselage assembly, and riveted. Also, installed nutplate tying upper firewall to firewall shelf. (page 29-03, steps 1 and 4). Used remaining sealant to seal opening in the remaining step (see page 21-17, step 9).
