Brief Description: Started Prep Work on Sec 22 Parts
Time to get back to the build after a long weekend with friends in the north GA mountains.
Machine countersunk "Return Line Clamp" rivet holes in bottom firewall. Machine countersunk nutplate attach holes in sloped upper flange of tunnel ribs, and bottom of forward fuselage skin. Also countersunk hole in cooler stiffener. Noticed that the remaining holes in the stiffener needed to be machine countersunk as well to fit on dimpled firewall (nothing in instructions). Final drilled engine mount brackets to tunnel ribs. Machine countersunk holes in forward flange of tunnel ribs. Trimmed cooler stiffener. Finally enlarged gascolator hole in firewall and flange of right tunnel rib. Enlarged hole in firewall first, then marked flange on tunnel rib, then trimmed flange. (page 22-02, steps 1, 2, 5, 7, and 14).
Dimpled holes in rudder support channels (page 22-03, step 2).
